With Arts for Everyone, the Faculty of Arts at Saint Mary’s University is opening our doors to the community. Members of the public are invited to attend a selection of courses on a drop-in basis. On this page you can explore course topics and schedules. The Ancient Civilizations of Greece and Rome

This course will present the salient aspects of the civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome including the history, political organization, material culture, and their relationships with neighbouring communities in the Mediterranean area.

This course excavates monstrous bodies to discover what they reveal about their creators, how they construct and police otherness, and how they serve as subversive sites of liberation from cultural norms.
